Sorry for a day's delay.

Attached please find the latest douments of my collaborative review.

I have endeavor to do the collaborative work on my part. I must confess that Maryam has done a great job in her review. She has marked the differences between the draft by the Revision Committee and the NCSG Charter. Thanks for the hard work of Bylaws Revision Committee led by Arun.

Now, it is our EC's time to further trigger this work.

Hi everyone,

we are not starting from scratch. there is the group volunteered to work on the bylaws (http://lists.ncuc.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/bylaws) . they resumed activity few months ago and were working the google doc shared by Farzaneh.

For Marrakech, we are aiming this time to get a new draft of bylaws after making the changes and including the comments based on (https://docs.google.com/document/d/1eC0EFhVG7Z9lOxY90NPzQaMKtNGzzKNQqoBmeZVNwhE/edit?usp=sharing). Then we will work in the EC meeting in marrakech through contentious points and get a clean version. having done that, we can resume the discussion with the bylaws team via mailing list and confcalls.

after that we have to set a timeline and process for consultation (several iterations may be expected ) at wider NCUC membership.
We have also to work with GNSO staff and OEC to inform them about this ongoing activity. I discussed few weeks ago and heard about other groups approaches they took to update their charter: BC, registries. also get this about GNSO process http://gnso.icann.org/en/about/stakeholders-constituencies/charter-amendment-process-28sep13-en.pdf

so we get two things:
- working on draft  of updated bylaws aligned with NCSG charter ( we need to avoid adding many new things or wish list unrelated to NCSG charter, while exploring carefully some such enacting policy committee)
- working on timeline/process to consult NCUC membership, board committee OEC and get the new charter approved following the GNSO process.

As we agreed, we should first work on aligning NCSG and NCUC charter.

The first step is to find out the differences I suppose.

. Can someone volunteer to pinpoint the differences and what should be improved to align with NCSG and then we can discuss.
