Hi everyone,

we are not starting from scratch. there is the group volunteered to work on
the bylaws (http://lists.ncuc.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/bylaws) . they
resumed activity few months ago and were working the google doc shared by
Farzaneh.

For Marrakech, we are aiming this time to get a new draft of bylaws after
making the changes and including the comments based on (

Then we will work in the EC meeting in marrakech through contentious points
and get a clean version. having done that, we can resume the discussion
with the bylaws team via mailing list and confcalls.

after that we have to set a timeline and process for consultation (several
iterations may be expected ) at wider NCUC membership.
We have also to work with GNSO staff and OEC to inform them about this
ongoing activity. I discussed few weeks ago and heard about other groups
approaches they took to update their charter: BC, registries. also get this

so we get two things:
- working on draft  of updated bylaws aligned with NCSG charter ( we need
to avoid adding many new things or wish list unrelated to NCSG charter,
while exploring carefully some such enacting policy committee)
- working on timeline/process to consult NCUC membership, board committee
OEC and get the new charter approved following the GNSO process.
