Dear all,

It took me a while to post because, as Elsa, I am still quite unsure of who
to vote for.

"The PC NCUC is a tough job to take, and it's important that we trust the
candidates we choose 150% in my opinion" -- couldn't agree more, Elsa

Nick is knowledgeable and experienced in ICANN's policy processes, and his
insights and background will be helpful as part of the policy committee.
Don't see that Nick coming from GAC as a negative point a priori. He's been
"in the house" for a couple of months now and actively participating in
many calls with substantive comments/contributions. Might be a good name
for the PC. So one vote would go to him.

I am also a bit unsure about Kris or Farell. Kris has an extensive
curriculum and knowledge for taking up the task of being part of the PC.
Farell, as Bruna noted, has been quite active in translating, outreach,
and engaged in the DNS abuse report. However, I sense that many of his
concerns are directed to the operational/organizational challenges to the
policy processes -- which is a valid one, but I'd like to see him comment
more on his actual engagement and commitment with the policy processes per
se.

It is unfortunate that Dina did not elaborate more on her responses, she
seems like a good candidate and committed to contributing to voicing
non-commercial interests -- given her background. However, while I would be
willing to take the shot and give her my vote, I still think she might
excel as a volunteer as she builds up the "lack of experience" she
mentioned. An important note that has not come up yet: She's the only woman
that has applied for this position and perhaps we should keep
gender-balance-sensitive so that we don't end up structuring all-male
committees.

One vote missing, still.

Best,

Louise Marie Hurel
