Thank you to Carlos for nominating me for the position of NCSG Chair and to the others who were kind to voice their support. I'm truly honored and hope to be able to do you all justice should I be elected to the chair. My specific statement comments are below.

Robin Gross, North America, Female, employed as private attorney and I also run IP Justice, nonprofit public interest organization (NCUC member)
· Any conflicts of interest;
No conflicts of interest.
· Reasons for willingness to take on the tasks of the particular position;
I would like to contribute to the continued growth of the noncommercial stakeholder group; and I'd like to try to increase the effectiveness of noncommercial participation in ICANN policy development.
· Qualifications for the position; and
I served as Chair of NCUC from 2008-2010 (during which time NCUC's membership increased by 300%). From 2004-2008 I represented noncommercial users on the GNSO Policy Council, and I've represented noncommercial users in over a dozen ICANN working groups over the last 7-8 years on range of issues including new gtds, GNSO structural improvements, intellectual property rights and other ICANN policy issues. I represented civil society on the Multi-stakeholder Advisory Group of the Internet Governance Forum for its first two years. About a decade ago I founded IP Justice, and before that I was the first intellectual property rights attorney with the Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF).
