Creation of Council/Constituency-Stakeholder Chair Interaction list

Thanks, KK. I agree that this list is a good idea to open up communication between the various ICANN silos. So often I feel like the community is much more easily "managed" by allowing staff to act as the go-between with various SO-ACs to explain the views of the others. More cross-community dialogue would be a good thing and would not replace discussions or decisions that take place elsewhere.

Two important caveats though: i) I would want NCSG and CSG to be equally represented in the discussion (not 1 NCSG constituency rep and 3 CSG constituency reps, but equal participation). And ii) this discussion list should be publicly archived.

I am under the impression this list is more about discussing administrative issues, like organizing meetings, and not for policy discussions or making important decisions. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Thank you.

My 2 cents,
Robin

Stephane has suggested the creation of a mailing list where the chairs of Constituencies and Stakeholder groups would be able to interact. This mailing list is meant to be informal and would simply serve as a discussion point between the chairs of the various constituencies and/or stakeholder groups and the council.

It is a way to build channels of communication between the chairs and the council – just that.
