Dear All,
Regarding the wording and structuring of the text, I believe Pedro, as a
lawyer, is best suited to ensure the correct phrasing, given the importance
of accuracy in this matter.
I have several questions and a suggestion:
*NCUC Policy Committee (PC):*
To my knowledge, an NCUC PC has not been formed before, as the NCSG PC has
been effectively handling policy matters. I propose exploring the
possibility of establishing an NCUC PC within the NCSG PC. For instance, we
could nominate 2-3 representatives from NCUC to participate in the NCSG PC.
This would enable NCUC members to collaborate more closely with these
representatives, receive official updates, and at the same time, support
the work of the NCSG PC.
I understand that this idea may need further refinement, but I believe it
is worth considering.
*Chair Term and Re-election Discussion:*
Last year, before the election, there was a discussion about the chair's
term length, the number of times a chair can be re-elected, and the
possibility of extending the term to two years instead of one. My question
is: Should this topic be addressed within the *NCUC Operating Procedures*?
I did not find any reference to it in the document. Or should this issue be
discussed separately at a later stage?
*Call for Member Review of the Operating Procedures (OP):*
I believe that the version of the OP to share for member review should not
be the current draft we are working on. Instead, it would be better to
share a finalized draft after incorporating corrections and modifications.
I look forward to your thoughts.
Regards,
Amin
