Dear Bruna,
Thank you for your email.
It’s good practice to identify events beforehand, but I believe it can also be changed at a later date to suit the needs of the community as regards outreach priorities.
I hope this helps.

Hey, Renata,
We dont have to chose the meetings as per my understanding. What we have to do is plan an Strategic Outlook Plan that has to be signed by the GSE before we issue the call for the CROPs. Regarding the CROPs, as per Maryam's informations we can use use one of the three slots for an ICANN meeting, to be used for a member from the region and with the september 1st as a deadline to submit the crop request itself.
I would ask Maryam once again to clarify this info as I dont know if we should 1. select the events before hand, 2. I am not sure how can we select only 3 events and regions given that the crop only serves a member from the region the event is being held at and 3. this could represent a problem with the next leadership team since I dont think they would have the same views or priorities in terms of events.
@maryam, can you help us clarify that once again ?
Best,
Bruna

Hi everyone
This year CROP is different.
Only 3 slots
Has to have regional balance
Good for ICANN meetings and other events sponsored by ICANN (but not IGF unf.)
(RIRs meetings are likely sponsored by ICANN - LACNIC, APNIC, ARIN,
RIPE, AFRINIC)
(We've done LACNIC, AFRINIC last year, before there was a RIPE
allocation I think)
We have to choose the events beforehand and open a call for each of them
Of couse, we have to choose the events in consultation with members
We have to hand in the CROP Outreach Plan asap
Does anyone have any suggestions on the consultation with members?
I'm thinking of doing a poll w/ an open ended option for suggestions
and leaving it up for a week
Please comment until 27 July
Thanks
