Hi Michael and all
This is the 3rd year NCUC sponsors this event.
There is a call for travel support, most of the times partial, and it
has been awarded to members before.
More importantly than this being an IGF event, it is an event which
brings together CSCG participants - Civil Society Coordination Group.
These are a group of umbrella-organizations like NCSG under which
other organizations and constituencies are represented and have this
mechanism to coordinate on internet governance strategic actions, such
as IGF MAG Selection. Given our Additional Budget Requests approved
for IGF participation, we want to be a part of this. Given most of our
organizational members being there and collaborating with
presentations, some with sponsorship too, this is a time where we can
show we can work together and maybe even get more organizations to
come under our umbrella.
I think opening the event should be EC Europe, so we can also show we
are a strong and varied group.
I do think we have a lot lined up on our queue of sponsorship with the
Policy Course coming up.
So maybe we can close the book on this on approving the sponsorship of 1000USD
Not the minimum according to our Procedures, not the full amount requested.
Please I need all EC to chime in since we decide by majority
Thanks
Renata
