[NCUC-EC] CROP Proposal: RightsCon

Hi,

Thanks for those inputs. I recused from the process, of course, but I
just want to clarify that I haven't applied for RightsCon funding. The
reason for this is that, other than the requirement of participating
in a session, the main criteria for consideration are: "need, region,
gender, topic, and age... to making RightsCon as diverse and inclusive
as possible"

As a white, straight, cis-gendered, male, mid-thirties Canadian... I
would be pretty astonished if they funded me. For that matter, I'd be
surprised if they funded any Canadians through this program, given
that we are the host country and therefore likely to already be
over-represented.

Also, I'll note that the deadline for applying is January 19, but the
site doesn't say when decisions would actually be made (probably not
by end of January, I'm guessing).

Best,

Michael
