[NCUC-EC] Fwd: NCUC Outreach in Brazil - asking for support

Hi Renata,

It depends of the type of request or need.

1- I advise to work with your GSE regonal counterpart for local events.
They have their own budget and can support inkind.
2- the GSE staff for civil society outreach Jean-Jacques and Adam are
always helping and can provide support when needed.
3- for printing etc, we are basically using a community budget from
communication and as Farzaneh made requests previously to ICANN comms team
regarding brochures redesign , printing cards and flyers and so on. We are
getting material printed and translated for each icann meeting.

Basically, it is important to have a clear idea of your needs for outreach,
plan them beforehand and then Farzaneh as chair can liaise with related
staff.
Webinars are basically about using adobe connect and we have that resource
already, just matter of scheduling and asking Maryam to setup it.

Best,

Rafik

Dear Ines, Rafik and all

I agree w/ Ines we need a more in-depth debate.

Rafik, thanks for the info on CROPP

What I guess me and Ines are referring to are local, regional, small
and maybe improvised categories of events.

Sometimes, you don't even need budget but formal approval and/or
articulation with ICANN

Sometimes we need material to be sent by mail. We also don't have
money or material in hands...

I am also confused about our articulation w/ ICANN outreach itself.
Sometimes I think BC railroads us as priority in a few cases. I am not
complaining or asking for changes, I want to understand how to act
about this.

Maybe it should be an NCUC EC meeting only, maybe a meeting w/ an
expert then where we ask for questions.

I'm also personally also thinking we really need inreach. We have
great members already and need to train them urgently, they keep
asking repeatedly in the LAC case. Can I just go ahead and to webinars
myself w/ them?

So thanks you for all your ideas, replies, suggestions
