[NCUC-EC] ICANN Joburg travel support

I would very much like to attend in Johannesburg, in particular as I will be vice-chairing the important RDS working group, and I think it is particularly important for that meeting as it is vital that we draw on the success of the data commissioners attendance in Copenhagen. This is one of the most important policy projects for NCUC currently.
I also feel this will be useful to build on the mentoring and outreach work. It hopefully will be the first in person meeting where mentees are fully up to speed with participation in work via remote meetings and email, and I think it would be helpful if I can build on that in Jo’burg with people I was working with at IFF and in Copenhagen.

I know that WG work should not be an automatic justification for an EC travel slot, and of course I would also be as active in supporting outreach and other NCUC activities..

I’m also happy to do some degree if there are days unsupported by ICANN for outreach etc.

I do not anticipate needing NCUC travel support for Abu Dhabi.

It seems that my chances to make it to Johannesburg are slim to say the list - I will have problems getting the visa due to tight travel schedule and the fact that the visa section is 5 hours train ride from me + there is a meeting related to my main job that popped up and conflicts with ICANN. I am trying to reschedule it or to figure out whether I must go there because it will mean that I won't be able to participate remotely in half of the Joburg meeting. However, I feel like we can't delay submitting the names anymore because all my travel conflicts. So guys please go ahead and distribute this slot to someone else - I will claim the slot for Abu Dhabi meeting.
