This is one of the most important policy projects for NCUC currently. <div class="">I also feel this will be useful to build on the mentoring and outreach work. It hopefully will be the first in person meeting where mentees are fully up to speed with participation in work via remote meetings and email, and I think it would be helpful if I can build on that in Jo’burg with people I was working with at IFF and in Copenhagen. </div><div class=""><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">I know that WG work should not be an automatic justification for an EC travel slot, and of course I would also be as active in supporting outreach and other NCUC activities.. </div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">I’m also happy to do some degree if there are days unsupported by ICANN for outreach etc. </div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class=""><div class="">I do not anticipate needing NCUC travel support for Abu Dhabi. </div><div class=""><br class=""></div></div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">David</div><div class=""><br class=""><div class=""><br class=""><div><blockquote type="cite" class=""><div class="">On 1 Apr 2017, at 12:16 am, farzaneh badii <<a href="mailto:farzaneh.badii@gmail.com" class="">farzaneh.badii@gmail.com</a>> wrote:</div><br class="Apple-interchange-newline"><div class=""><div dir="auto" class="">Thanks Tatiana. It seems that my chances to make it to Johannesburg are slim to say the list - I will have problems getting the visa due to tight travel schedule and the fact that the visa section is 5 hours train ride from me + there is a meeting related to my main job that popped up and conflicts with ICANN. I am trying to reschedule it or to figure out whether I must go there because it will mean that I won't be able to participate remotely in half of the Joburg meeting. However, I feel like we can't delay submitting the names anymore because all my travel conflicts. So guys please go ahead and distribute this slot to someone else - I will claim the slot for Abu Dhabi meeting.</div><div class="">Warm regards,</div><div class="">Tanya </div></div><div class="gmail_extra"><br class=""><div class="gmail_quote">On 24 March 2017 at 21:47, Renata Aquino Ribeiro <span dir="ltr" class=""><<a href="mailto:raquino@gmail.com" target="_blank" class="">raquino@gmail.com</a>></span> wrote:<br class=""><blockquote class="gmail_quote" style="margin:0 0 0 .8ex;border-left:1px #ccc solid;padding-left:1ex"><div dir="ltr" class="">Hi<div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">I would like to apply for a slot. </div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">The outreach event to be planned there can be an amazing opportunity to create collaboration between those interested in developing countries issues related to domain name policies so I'd like to contribute. </div><div class="">I'm also becoming more involved in WS2 work and starting to understand GNSO Review so this would be an important opportunity to move forward w/ these. </div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">I did not apply for a slot on the last meeting and I am not a fellow on this one too so that is my only current option for funding.</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">Best,</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">Renata</div><div class=""><br class=""></div></div><div class="gmail_extra"><br class=""><div class="gmail_quote"><div class=""><div class="m_1510381341061571951h5">On Fri, Mar 24, 2017 at 5:38 PM, farzaneh badii <span dir="ltr" class=""><<a href="mailto:farzaneh.badii@gmail.com" target="_blank" class="">farzaneh.badii@gmail.com</a>></span> wrote:<br class=""></div></div><blockquote class="gmail_quote" style="margin:0 0 0 .8ex;border-left:1px #ccc solid;padding-left:1ex"><div class=""><div class="m_1510381341061571951h5"><div dir="ltr" class=""><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:verdana,sans-serif"><div class="gmail_default" style="font-size:12.8px">Hi </div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-size:12.8px"><br class=""></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-size:12.8px">Who wants to go to Joburg?
