Hi
Here is a suggested agenda for tomorrow's meeting, I have also included
the most pressing issues.Perhaps Maryam can get rid of the explenation of
the issues and just keep the bold text. I will send her instuctions if you
agree.
The meeting of NCUC members for the review of NCUC Bylaws will take place
tomorrow at 14.00 UTC. NCUC EC has gone through the comments and has made
changes to reflect the comments. There are some remaining issues that will
be discussed tomorrow. If you would like to know how the NCUC EC
implemented your suggestion, you can either join the call and ask or you
can look at the NCUC Bylaws google doc. Click here for link to NCUC Bylaws.

Please
also check the google doc notifications.
Agenda
1. The three questions that were sent to mailing list and answers : NCSG
bylaws and alignments of NCUC bylaws - Inclusion removal of officers and
members procedures in the bylaws, addition of section VIII - for
participation of NCUC in the empowered community.
2. Recent pressing issues:
*The purpose of NCUC: * Section I.B. of the Bylaws: Should the current
text remain or should we discuss what we can remove, add or change. As
suggested by Bill Drake, Group discussion on whether we should list the
issues we work on or broader issues?
*Adding accountability language: *Matt suggested to include how we are
accountable. FB suggested a section I.C. (needs to be discussed)
*Social porpose companies: *NCUC bylaws stipulate that the organizations
should be noncommercial. Question is whether those social purpose companies
that are commercial and earn profit will be excluded.
*Official representatives of orgs and holding office at NCUC*: Section
3(E): If an Official Representative holds an elective office in the NCUC,
Members cannot change their Official Representative until the individual’s
term of office is completed.
*Eligibility of consultants to commercial entities and conflict of interest
III(I)(1): * Individuals who have consulting contracts with ICANN
contracting parties or commercial firms involved in other constituencies
should provide a conflict of interest report with their application.
Failure to do so at the time of application could be made ground for an
ineligibility finding by the EC later
3. Reviewing the second draft based on members comments
