[NCUC-EC] CROPP updates and next steps

Hi Milton,

Thanks for the comments.
yes the document lacks several parts. I made it only and quickly to be in
time to get Aarti travel slot processed (and I could do that by the
deadline!)

the document I sent and submitted is basically for CROPP process and staff
, to explain what we want to do with the travel slots and outreach events.
so I am not worried about that. As next step and for NCUC proper outreach
strategy , we can elaborate that using the document as strawman. you can
add your comments and questions there? it is collaborative work . it will
help us to do the planning and move from an ad-hoc reactive approach.

for example, we can list some conferences of interests like:
World Social Forum, Montreal, August. Global ICT Capacity Building
Symposium, Nairobi, September. re:publica in Dublin, October. CyFy India.

the CROPP is limited and we can use other resources too and try to
optimize. if a member is attending a conf, we can envision to organize
something from lightening talk to a full session or outreach event. for
example, I could attend Rightscon having session about domain name policies
and DNS forum in MENA with session about civil society. We are getting
support from other parts of ICANN like Adam for civil society engagement.
Also for this year, I really think we delegated mroe outreach to our
members with APC in AIS organizing 2 sessions about NCUC and ICANN, next
week in CSISAC forum.

So we can work on more exhaustive and detailled strategy , and looking for
input here. I hope that will be done when I can write down the EC
activities report for the last 6 months and share that with NCUC membership.

Best,

Rafik
