Title: Apply to receive travel support for ICANN meeting in Morrocco 
ICANN 55 will be held in Morrocco  5-10 March 2016. NCUC members can apply to receive funding to attend the meeting. The travel dates can be ideally from 3 March to 10 March.
The budget for each meeting for travel support is maximum of  $4,000. Covered travel expenses may include conference-related airfare, visas or related fees, lodging, and airport taxis. If the actual cost of these items is greater than $2,000 the member will be responsible for the difference. NCUC cannot provide a per diem or cover any other expenses.  Selected travelers must make their own travel, accommodation,visa, and related arrangements and be reimbursed after the trip. NCUC cannot provide funds in advance of the meeting, or any administrative support.
Interested members should read carefully the terms and conditions of the policy available at http://www.ncuc.org/participate/ncuc-travel-support/ and send a proposal as to why they should receive funding to attend this ICANN meeting. Please apply by replying to this email.

We can be creative with the 4000 depending on the applications we get  e.g. giving enough for airfare or hotel etc and spreading over more than 2 persons . We can expand a little if really  needed.

I tried not to draft it as such that it sounds preference goes to those people, which was not my intention. But I get rid of it all together anyway. 



And I did not suggest to expand the budget. I was presuming that we have upto 4000 USD to fund people to go to Morrocco. Or are we prioritizing two persons over the amount? I mean are we saying only 2 persons will go even if it is under 4000 USD and we
 won't take on more?

I am for allocating  up to 2 people only in order to keep the budget. Cautiously I would prefer working on fund seeking (or other alternative)  before expanding the allocated amount per meeting.

So 2 x 2000$ for this call. Also as matter of fairness, the call should be for everyone not just mentee-mentor or giving then preference.

For mentorship program, I would like to discuss more in depth since I have some reservations

We have to issue the call for  travel support for Morrocco tomorrow the latest. We are behind the 2 months notice. As well as considering new applications I think we can choose from  the mentees that applied and other experienced people and perhaps give
 them a light mentor, mentees role. Let me know if you agree. 
Also as we can support two candidates upto 2000 USD I think we should support more candidates if we have enough money.

NCUC can support active or members who would like to become more active at NCUC and get involved with various working groups  to go to Morrocco.  As the ICANN mentorship program was received very well, the applicants for the pilot mentorship program will
 be considered as well and the funded NCUC members might be given a mentor-mentee role.
