[NCUC-DISCUSS] NomCom changes

 Thanks Johan

Regarding the NomCom2 Review recommendations, its unfortunate that despite
our presentations and ‘fight’ to have slots expanded or rebalanced to
accommodate at least the GNSO constituents appropriately, those who have
more slots refused to relinquish such slots to upscale adequate
representations since there was a lull in increasing the slots.

The final recommendations were made including our desire to increase and
re-balance the slots and were submitted to the ICANN board and it did not
sail through as expected. (Raoul Plommer can also add a voice here)

On the call for term duration, I would advise that current appointees have
1 additional year, since that would mean they are not returning and must
have availed some ‘knowledge transfer’ on the new or incoming appointees
before their final exit thereafter.

As regards to the implementation work plan, I think its error since NCSG is
our umbrella, we can also highlight this in our response or at best
wherever NCUC occurs or appears should be replaced with NCSG/NCUC/NPOC.

I hope this helps.
