Hi Bruna, and members of NCUC,

I am involved in the development of this Regional Strategy document along
with members on te regional mailing list, just to provide some update:

1. This document came as a result of a report submitted to the regional
mailing after the ICANN 64 meeting with Pierre (ICANN Africa GSE VP)
2. This document has not yet been adopted by NCUC regional members which is
why it has not yet been circulated for community input and comment
3. NCUC Africa mailing list is planning an online meeting this week in
order to reach agreement on how we move forward with this initiative
4. The strategy document is yet to be shared on the public mailing lists
after our meeting this week since some members strongly feel that it is
wrong to use the name of NCSG or NCUC for purposes of this document, while
other suggested we change its title to avoid delays and community
process-related delays.
5. With so little time left before ICANN65, we will see how to still push
for the standard processes to be followed, after our upcoming online meeting
6. There are still areas of contention on the document, like the use of
NCUC or NCSG name, all these will be resolved in the planned regional
members meeting

Currently, no formal or final decision has been taken yet, but this will be
done through consensus with regional members during our online meeting this
week, always subject to community and EC input. I hope this clarifies,
thanks.

Thato Mfikwe.
