[NCUC-DISCUSS] update: CROP applications in evaluation (+dates, proposers)

Hi Michael,

Thank you very much for taking the time to address my email and for
providing your own lecture, which i assume is shared by the other EC
members. Thank you very much for the work you all are doing, leading
our constituency.

I hope to meet you at RightsCon in April and be part of the NCUC
session. I now remember that it was shared with the list and i think i
said that i will be in Toronto and would like to be involved if
needed.

Just a quick one on your last point about advertizing for the CROP and
other funding opportunities. I do agree with you that announcements
can be lost into the amount of emails we all are receiving from our
own life to our life at ICANN. So, yes, there is a need to find a way
to communicate on this in order for all our members to know that there
is funding available to those who are willing to speak about the NCUC
at global or regional events.

Most of times, it is those of us who are directly involved into
leadership positions (or deeply into policy work) that are aware of
what we have but our members do not. So my suggestion would be to our
NCUC Chair or the EC (speaking about the NCUC here) to take the
responsability of informing the list every quarter or so about these
opportunities in order to ensure competition in proposal drafting.

These are just thoughts and open to all to comment.
