At its meetings in Ghana, the Board of the Internet Corporation for Assigned
Names and Numbers adopted a resolution stating that the organization should
have an electoral structure "of the kind recommended in the ALSC report."
That report proposed a reduction in the number of At-Large Board members and
various restrictions on public voting rights. In addition, the Board created
a new committee to provide further recommendations on how the organization
should be restructured. This committee will report back to the Board by May
31, 2002, and its findings will be considered during ICANN's June 2002
meetings in Bucharest, Romania.
