Excellent.

Presumably you would not advocate making such important decisions by 
relying on uproven, experimental technology.

So all you have to do is show track record of successful online voting, of 
a similar scale, accountability, validity, etc.

Since the problem is purely a red herring, you won't have any difficulty 
providing that proof, will you?

The alternative suggests a failure to understand the difference between 
designing a complex social process on paper, versus making it work 
successfully in the real world.
