Given the fact that another At Large meeting organized by ICANN
has been announced to start at 10am, at that time ICANNatlarge.org
will decide whether to join the other one or continue on its own upon
the consensus by the members.
Background
Bruce Young, panel member of ICANNatlarge.org proposed to hold
the 2nd At-Large Forum organized by ICANNatlarge.org followng
Shanghai meeting in Oct. 2002. The motion to hold the Amsterdam
Meeting and delegate YJ Park to finalize the agenda and organization of
the meeting, and to take care of its advertisement was made by Vittorio
Bertola on Dec 4, 2002 and formally approved by panel of ICANNatlarge.org
on Dec 11, 2002. Hans Klein, Edmundo Valenti, Jefsey Morfin, Bruce
Young, Vivek Durai, Richard Henderson, Michael Geist, and Vittorio
Bertola favored the motion and YJ Park abstained the motion .
Objective
ICANNatlarge.org, self-organizing efforts among Internet users around
the world to bring individual users' voices to Internet Names and Numbers
managment decision-making process as its stakeholders, hosts this meeting
in order to provide open forum to discuss At-Large "Representation"
in the reformed management structure as well as "Paricipation" and finally
propose At-Large "Representation" and "Participation" among the stakehloders
in this community.
Remark
The panel thanks RIPE-NCC for supplying a room for free for an
ICANNatlarge.org meeting in Amsterdam on December 14.
