That is a far cry from keeping someone from knowing anything.  I'm
well aware of the distinction between a CTO and a technical advisor.
I am also a technical advisor for several unrelated efforts.  It is
impossible to conduct oneself in that role without _some_ knowledge of
the business strategy underlying the issues brought before the
advisory committee; namely, those business decisions that have caused
the advisory committee to be engaged by the larger body, and other
decisions as that body deems appropriate to the task at hand.


However, it's apparent that you will continue to redefine your role as
suits your needs.  Given that, I believe Mr. Mueller has taken the
correct course: Direct contact with the organization you represent, so
they may decide whether they still wish for you to represent them.

The final decision is theirs, not yours.
