Dear NCUC members,
Good day and I hope your week started well.

As we prepare for ICANN77 , I want to bring you in on the ongoing
conversation about meeting plans.

*Note carefully:*
*1. The discussions is still on-going and the plans are still in the early
stages, with alot of moving parts, that is why I have brought the issues to
you for your inputs. Feel free to share your views on the attached proposed
agenda- it will influence my contributions in the next planning call.*

*2. do we want to celebrate NCUC Anniversary?*

*Plans for ICANN77 Policy Meeting *

We hope that ICANN76 was a constructive and enjoyable meeting for you. Now
that it has drawn to a close, we are starting to look ahead to ICANN77, to
be held in Washington DC in June in just under three months. You will
receive a calendar invitation shortly for the first kick-off planning call,
which we are proposing be held on Thursday 30 March.

In addition, for ICANN77, ICANN org would like to propose a session that
commemorates a few important milestones in our collective history. Please
see the attached document for a description of the session we have in mind.
We are proposing that this session take the place of the customary
Geopolitical Forum, which means that in terms of scheduling there will be
*no* impact on the community’s sessions (i.e., all community groups will
continue to have the same amount of time as usual for the Policy Forum). We
will plan to provide the regular geopolitical updates as a webinar during
Prep Week for ICANN77.

As this will represent a change from the usual practice of having the org
session as a Geopolitical Forum, we are interested in any feedback you may
have to this proposal for ICANN77.

The second and third attachments are a draft Block Schedule and a
production timeline to aid in your planning. As you will see, this initial
schedule takes into account the proposed session as well as a placeholder
for another session to celebrate the ALAC’s, ccNSO’s and GNSO’s 20th
anniversaries, to be planned by these community groups and their support
staff. Another change you will see is in the timing of the various blocks –
based on your feedback we have amended the block schedule to include more
90-minute sessions. While this will reduce the actual number of sessions,
it will *not* change the actual amount of time allocated overall for
community work.

We hope these attachments are useful and look forward to our first ICANN77
planning call on 30 March. Thank you!

Cheers

Tanzanica & Mary
