[NCUC-EC] Call for Comments: NCUC Operating Procedures Review, First Round of Public Comment

Dear NCUC Members,
In accordance with Section XV, items 8 and 9 ("9. The document shall be
shared via the NCUC-Discuss list with NCUC members and open for comments
and suggestions for a minimum of 14 calendar days"), of the current NCUC
Operating Procedures (September 2017 version
<https://www.ncuc.org/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/NCUC-Operating-Procedures-Sept-2017.pdf>),
we are launching the first round of public comment on the proposed
revisions to our Operating Procedures.
*We would like to sincerely thank the NCUC Operating Procedures Review Task
Force (OPRTF), as well as the penholders Pedro de Perdigão and Namra
Naseer, of the NCUC Executive Committee, for their dedicated work on the
document and for successfully completing their part of the process.*

We invite all members of the NCUC community to provide feedback and
suggestions on the proposed updates, helping to shape part of the rules
that guide our constituency by participating in this process, aiming at the
continuous improvement of our community and its institutions.
You may contribute in one or both of the following ways:
· *Directly in the Google Document* by: (i) adding new comments to suggest
edits or raise concerns; (ii) using the "Like" feature to support existing
comments made by others.
· *Via the NCUC-members mailing list*, by posting your feedback and
suggestions for discussion.
*This round of Public Comments will be open until August 9th, 23h59 UTC**.*
Following the conclusion of this first round, the NCUC EC will consider the
input received and, if necessary, issue a revised draft for a second round
of comments, as outlined in Section XV (items 10-14) of the Operating
Procedures.
Your participation and opinions are critical to ensuring our procedures
continue to serve the interests of the NCUC’s diverse and global
non-commercial user community, reinforcing mechanisms that guarantee that
