[NCUC-EC] Invitation to Milton for NCSG Financial Committee Position

Hi Mili and all,

Who is the other candidate? I remember seeing somewhere that we had no
candidates, but I may have missed one email.

Anyway, by our bylaws, I think we can appoint a rep and an observer. What
we need to take into account is that the chair of the NCSG FC Chair *is*
the NCSG Treasurer (third phrase of section 2.6.1 of NCSG bylaws), but NCSG
has no bank account, so financial movements have to be made through the
NCUC bank account. NCUC, however, is not an incorporated organization,
which means that the bank is actually linked to Milton (and I think that's
why he has been in this role). I'm not sure what are the rules for a
non-incorporated organizational bank account in the US, but I believe the
person who is responsible for it should be a US resident. These are all
things that I had not thought about before and aspects that need to be
better understood in the next few months.

On the other hand, I don't think that considering other candidates should
lead to an attack on Milton, accusing him of not fulfilling his role. At
least since I got into the NCUC EC, he was never (as far as I know) asked
to do any financial movement, so there were no reports to be made besides
things remaining the same. In a recent situation where we needed him
(regarding the Policy Fellowship, which will be better detailed in the call
today), he answered relatively quickly with the data we needed.

Cordially,

*Pedro de Perdigão Lana*
