Hello all,

Let me see if I can give a bit of clarification. If the EC is able to find someone to fill Claudio’s current slot, there is no need for an election as his term ends at the end of ICANN78 (less than 6 months). In order to get someone to fill the slot for the next term, which there is more than 6 months left, there will need to be an election.

Dear Ines,
My understanding of your point is not clear, for the purpose of clarity, we currently do not have a LAC representative.

Claudio has made it clear we get a replacement for him.  We need an EC for the region, the bylaws require the Chair to find an EC for the region at all times.

NCUC does not have representatives in the region and our activities are lacking in that region, do you have any suggestions on how to fill that gap?

I have a question. We recently had elections and no one run for the region.

We are not in a situation of for exemple an EC leaving office for any reason and that we have 6 months to next elections.

I am curious to know what the bylaws say because last term we had exactly the same situation and we did a call and then there was no time commitment.

We had some discussions on reconvening this week to resolve some outstanding items we discussed on Monday.
- LAC Rep - review the call text - input required from ECs to the draft text on Google doc before the end of the week.
- Travel Policy - develop a calendar & adherence to the current travel policy - schedule an online meeting to develop a meeting plan and create an updated travel calendar by  funded ECs
- CROP Outreach Strategic Plan - a collaboration with GSE VPs (Adam Peake) - fill the existing template to support the current situation by Benjamin (EU EC Rep)
- Africa Engagement Forum -  Benjamin to complete the slides and identify members worthy of recognition in the region
- Website Setup (State of things - Olga to update and inform the team when she is available to provide details

Please can we act to get these things addressed?
