[NCUC-EC] ICANN 62/ NCUC has meetings at NCSG level

 NCUC and NCSG have the same mission and at the moment NCUC and NCSG
positions are aligned on almost all issues. You are a member of NCSG :) .
NCUC makes policy through NCSG councilors and has representatives on NCSG
(if it sees necessary in the future it can have its own policy committee
but at the moment there is no bandwidth nor necessity).

NCSG receives its strengths in policymaking from its constituencies and its
independent members. Lets not say no NCUC session will take place at ICANN
62. Lets say NCUC will do its activities at ICANN 62 at NCSG level.
Something we have been doing for the past two years since the policy
committee format came into effect. The community meeting and the AGM
normally are focussed on constituencies. I worked with Tapani last year on
NCSG policy discussions and meetings and NCSG outreach. When we say NCSG
outreach with At-Large we mean NCSG and its constituencies' outreach. It
means you should get involved with setting the outreach agenda of the
session, in fact, I will be very disappointed if you don't work with
Tatiana to come up with the program and help shape it.

I don't mean you can't have an NCUC session during policy meeting. Of
course you can. But if you want to be involved with PDPs be on top of the
game, carry the torch of noncommercials in PDPs and cross community
sessions, it is best to minimize your internal NCUC activities and
contribute at NCSG level for this meeting only. Informal meetings with
others and if you see the need to have a brief meeting for example
breakfast with the fellows, etc make sense. But try to be in PDPs and be as
influential as you can in policy processes in ICANN 62. I probably won't be
there so I count on you.
