Acronym alert. Anna, what is CEP? In an Independent Review Process, the Cooperative Engagement Process precedes an IRP but I was not aware NCUC was involved in a IRP appeal. So not sure what CEP you are talking about.

There are some new EC members here and we may need to use less jargon until we are all up to speed.

I wanted to provide rationale for my acceptance of the funding for Copenhagen. I am working on the CEP with Ed and believe that it is important that I am there in-person for the plenary as there are not many active members in this group. I am also involved in RPM group, but my focus is on the CEP for this trip.

Since it is in Europe (close to me) I will try to find funding for myself, in the worst case self-funding. So don't need the slot.

We have three travel slots assigned by icann to ncuc ec for each icann meeting. normally one slot goes to the chair and two slots go to the ec members on rotating basis. This means that the chair gets funded for every meeting but ec members receive travel slots on rotating basis i.e if you get one for this meeting you won't be eligible for the next unless other ec members do not want the travel slot.

I am trying to see if I can free up my travel slot by getting funding from other sources. But for now we have two travel slots available. if you want travel support for Copenhagen just respond to this email. you need to also provide a brief justification as to why you want to be there for example if you are engaged with working groups etc.
