[NCUC-EC] 答复: CROPP again and planning for FY17

Dear Rafik, Dear Farzi, EC folks,


Firstly, agree with re-scheduling Aarti's slot to FY 17 and replace it by Farzi's proposal for RIPE (the  rest of EC would review upon receipt).


Secondly, after review, it is found that  there is not a second applicant for the CSISAC Forum & OECD Ministerial Conference to replace Renata.


Thirdly, since there are issues with Ayden's and Renata's proposals due to time or country political situation issues, I would prefer to respectively allocate those slots to Tatiana's and Karel's, since the two proposals are already reviewed by us.  By doing that, we won't need to use addtional NCUC funding resources, besides, it saves our time, thus not to further delay any proposal.

Hi Farzaneh,

Thanks for this, seems good workaround. Maryam can double-check with Benedetta about the feasibility for Kathy case.
I am also thinking if we can keep targeting the OECD ministerial and CSISAC forum, many CSO are going to be there and it is a good opportunity. we have to find a replacement to Renata.

I looked at Kathy's INTA proposal, it will be held in a month, if she can be more convincing how she will do outreach for us then I think we can allocate it to her. ( and ofcourse if ICANN is too strict about 6 weeks notice we cant allocate it to her)

I can also submit a proposal to go to RIPE. It's a technical meeting but with potentials for recruiting members that are interested in Civil Society work. I will send my proposal soon.

And there is also Bill's proposal to go to EuroDIG.

I have cc'd you so that this time you receive the email. Last time we did not act on this quickly. Please respond soon.

those issues shows why CROPP planning should happen quite earlier. for that purpose, we will have to work on NCUC outreach strategy soon to be submitted for CROPP and initiate call for proposals early (even before July 1st), also working closely with related ICANN staff on this.
