Hi Bill, Hi everyone,
I expect to attend the Buenos Aires Meeting to be held in June. Unfortunately, I have no alternative funding opportunities, so hope could be covered by CDT.
In the three months ahead, along with @Bill, @Stefania and other guys that who may join, I plan to finish translation of NCUC Brochure and other materials into Chinese and hope we could publish and circulte them during ICANN 53. That idea was initiated by Stefania (forgive me if I forget other guys who may think alike?) and it is a very good vision for NCUC to achieve the most diversity within ICANN and the most localized within each continent. I hope I could achieve that goal with all of you.
Besides, I have been following on WHOIS aspect discussions and Stephanie, our NCUC member and GNSO Councilor in EWG, has agreed in Washington to teach me how to walk through the whole EWG report. Hope could meet with her once again, and with her help, we could get knowledge of the impacts that that great work will bring to all stakeholders, especially for non-commercial stakeholders.
Lastly, I have been thinking and keep going on ideas about NCUC Outreach in China (though with very slow move), with time, I think we could get a chance to talk about that in the BA CD. It is time to make some change.
For your consideration.
Best RegardsPeter

Hi
Ok, Joao will be covered by the Fellows program, great news. Again, it would be helpful to hear from others as to their interest and any outside funding opportunities, and alternatively any suggestions of heavily involved regular members (Matt might be an option, if CDT doesn’t cover him, or Joy) so we can begin to decide what to do with the two NCUC travel slots.
Best
Bill

Subject: [NCUC-EC] ICANN Buenos Aires Meeting Hi Believe it or not they’re asking for us to identify covered travelers three months in advance of the meeting this time. To figure out who we should send from NCUC, let’s start with the basics. Who is interested in going, and do you have alternative funding possibilities or would you need one of the slots? While I understand that everyone likes to do this, I should add that of course the slots can also be used for regular members who are much involved in ICANN work and ought to be there to represent NCUC. Thoughts, info, etc?
