[NCUC-EC] DC meetings

Sorry for slow response in this week. Glad to hear that you all are ready for the upcoming travel.
Today, I also received hotel information from Joseph, along with my flight arrangements.
 I may depart from Beijing at 1:20 am, 11th, Jan, first to Doha and then to Washington, DC (IAD), arriving at 14:50, 11th, Jan, EST. I may leave DC on 20:20, 14th, Jan.
Currrently, I am struggling and dealing with my visa with the US Embassy in Beiing, which is so hard now. On the one hand, there are too many people applying for US vsia in China between Christmas and the New Year vacation, but I have requested an emergent visa application process and fortunately had my consular interview on 2nd, Jan, the Consular Officer initially approved my visa application; on the other hand, due to "visa system issues", the US Embassy can not print the visas since 2nd Jan, which has caused my visa delayed for three days.  I could have been able to get my visa on 7th, Jan.
Most lately, just minutes ago, I have checked my visa status on the US Embassy website, it is "ISSUED" by the US Embassy. Because the US Embassy does not accept external  telephone calls， I have written to the US  Embassy to hopefully request Emergent Visa Delivery and Pickup. I request to get my visa today (8th, Jan), but the US Embassy does not reply.
Now I am under very emergent circumstances. The key is whether the US Embassy could deliver the visa to my designated location by 17:00 of 9th, Jan. If that is okay, I could pick up my visa at the earliest time. 
I will be persistent and keep you guys informed.

Someone received the hotel booking information from Constituency Travel? A couple of days to departure and no one answer from then, all the times is that kind of "emotion" ?

4.  Due to itineraries / availabilities etc. I ended up with a booking arriving Saturday night, which is not exactly how I wanted to spend my birthday but whatever.  At least I might be semi-coherent by Monday morning.  ICANN says it cannot cover an early extra night of hotel as per Tuesday, so I would like to formally request that we do so from the NCUC piggybank.  Constituency Travel hasn’t responded to several pings as to what hotel I’m in but others have said we’re at the Beacon, so I imagine it’ll be in the $200-300 range.
Ok…time to get back into the ICANNsphere…four hours of conference calls tomorrow, while grading exams, sigh...

We’ll need to do appointments (per my 18 December message), discuss the annual/quarterly agendas, budget requests, etc.
BTW Matthew has successfully lined up a meeting space for us at CDT for the Wed. 14th outreach meeting, which is great.
