[NCUC-EC] Ballots

Tapani,
By approving "ballots" the bylaws meant that the EC had to look at the emails that would be sent to members to vote. It seems that you are asking them to approve the membership list, which is a different thing. It may be a good idea to do that, but it has nothing to do with the bylaw requirement to approve ballots.

Subject: [NCUC-EC] Ballots
Dear Executive Committee,
Our bylaws require the EC to approve ballots for elections, so here is your chance. :-) I will be sending the list to Glen probably tomorrow, so if you have any questions or want to disapprove or whatever, now is the time.
The list was made by combining data from
(1) replies to our data confirmation query in the spring
(2) NCUC members included in NCSG's latest ballot
(3) those who replied to a special mailing sent to members
not to either of the above groups
(4) those who reacted to the call on the ncuc-discuss list
last week and
(5) a few who contacted me about it otherwise.
That leaves us with 209 confirmed members and
89 we've heard nothing of.
Also, three were removed from the list (one was an error to begin with, one explicitly requested to be removed and one organization was reported to have been expired).
Note: Glen just told me that once the ballot is sent in, errors in addresses &c can be corrected, but no entries may be added. That means anybody who wakes up after we send this in will be out of luck.
Anyway, here're the confirmed members (emails omitted to keep spammers at bay - if someone wants to review them, ask me privately.
