I think since this groups will be disbanded as soon as the charter is done and dusted, then we should opt for the easiest option?.and remember that we have the etherpad that we will be working on?.another option is to forget the list altogether and have emails sent cc?ing everyone?like we do now?the only problem is that the messages of non-EC members will not be archived ? do you think this is a problem?

I can submit the request to setup a list on Syracuse University's listserv (which can take up to 2 days to complete) OR I can quickly setup a Group on the NCUC website and we can continue the discussion there (note: for those who prefer email, they can change their account settings to receive/send posts to a discussion on the website in the email client). I'm fine with either option.

Thanks for this Brenden ? I would much rather have a separate list that I can present to the EC if requests are made about this. we need to get this cracking so whenever you have the time it would be great. I am hoping to start working on the charter during the weekend and send something to all of you.
Thanks for your help.

Hi KK,
I am more than happy to setup a list for the charter revising task.
Another approach might be to allow moderated comments from non-EC to be posted to the NCUC-EC lists (which Robin actually manages from her days as NCUC Chair). That way everything is in one archive. Robin, is that possible and desirable (you'd have to moderate)?
Let me know. If we go with a new list, I'll set it up quickly (or at least more quickly than I responded to this email).
Thanks,
Brenden

Dear all,
Maria just brought to my attention that non EC members will not be able to respond to this thread if EC copied ? although we could use as a communications method individual emails, this creates a slight problems of transparency, which I have been accused of. Brenden is there a way we can create a separate list that we can archive so as members are able to see the discussions for the charter? If not, then we will have to stick to individual emails and provide updates to the list endorsed by this group.
The NCSG charter can be found here:https://community.icann.org/display/gnsononcomstake/NCSG+Charter
The main issues for us is the PC format. As for the membership issue: I have spoken to Robin and we have agreed that potential members will have to fill out the form which can be found here: https://community.icann.org/display/gnsononcomstake/Membership and depending on whether they wish to join only NCUC or NCSG or both, then these forms will have to go through NCUC or NCSG or both.
Hope this helps.
KK

Hi Konstantinos,
Many thanks. I'm familiarising myself with the charter.
Which are the parts of it that need particular attention for re-drafting to make them consistent with the NCSG one? And apologies if - as I suspect - I should know already, but whereabouts is the NCSG charter so we can compare and contrast?
Many thanks, m

I forgot to mention ? when replying please press the ?reply to all? button as Maria, Andrii and Norbert are not in the NCUC EC list.
Thanks

Importance: High
Dear all,
This is the portal we will be using for discussions relating to the charter. As I mentioned, this should not be time consuming and the changes should really be straightforward. I suggest we look at a deadline of a month to sort this out ? I would ideally like to have the vote for the charter before Costa Rica so we can have our charter in place when we arrive in Costa Rica.
I took a crack at it in the word document, which I attach. I also pasted THE ORIGINAL charter without my modifications on the pirate pad ? we need to find a way not to have too many versions of the charter floating around.
The PiratePad version can be found here: http://piratepad.net/1ryRZDWH3s
I am looking forward to your contributions. I would like us to try and sort this out via email, but if need be, I can arrange a telephone meeting.
Thank you all again for your participation and assistance in this.
