[Ec-ncuc] Costa Rica agenda

Just a couple of points: the agenda were in random order and not necessarily in the order they were given.

In particular, the issue with the Charter needs to be addressed. I have to express my disappointment that I am left to work on this on my own as neither the volunteers nor the EC have really contributed on it. So, I have given the Charter WG until Sunday and then I am sending it to the list. We need to get moving on voting on this issue as soon as possible as we are literally have an outdated charter. And, although I don't think we will actually manage to vote on it before CR, we at least have to discuss it.

I hope that the strategizing issue and much of the Policy issues will be discussed on Monday, during the PC meeting. In any case, as Wendy, I think we should spend time strategizing ? I like the idea of a more coordinated effort regarding the rights of registrants.

Thanks all for your input

KK

I agree with Rafik on 1 and 3.

Given the difficulties of finding a workable evening time, wouldn't it make sense to try to get the local CS Folks to come to CD and spend a half hour, prior to the Wed Council? Then if we see them Thurs night it can be more informal, schmoozing.

Hi, can I suggest a tweak, as follows?
1 Charter
as the topic was not discussed yet in the ML, it may take more time than needed in the constituency day ,
2. Strategic Planning
3. Update from Councilors
I think that update item from councilors may overlap with policy discussion item or shall we include here update from WG/RT members?
4. Policy Discussion (IRTP-B, IOC-RC, WHOIS, RAA/LEA - note I changed this a bit based on current GNSO work)
5. NCUC Event in Toronto
6. AOB
7. Meeting with NonCom

Plus PIR/Brian when/if available.
I think that is needed :)
anyway, maybe we need to discuss in prior to he meeting, the week before through emails or maybe confcall :p and then constituency day session will be more focused in making decisions and being ready to discuss with other C/SG or act for gnso public session.

Subject: Costa Rica agenda
Dear all,

Please find the proposed agenda for the CR meeting during constituency day:

1 Charter (which I hope to be finalized by then)
2. Meeting with Registrars ? what are our common issues/concerns. (I suspect that the meeting with the Registrars will have to take place another day, as they will also be having their own meeting through the day.) ? we need to organize that.
3. Policy issues (new trademark protections/WHOIS/LEA, IOC-RED CROSS)
4. Strategic planning
5. NCUC Event in Toronto?
6. Update from Councillors
7. AOB
8. Meeting with NonCom (they are coming at 12:15)

I also guess somewhere in there we will have to meet Brian Cute and PIR. I am yet to contact him.

As you can see we have a tight agenda, which I hope to get a bit lighter with the meeting that Robin has organized with the Policy committee ? but again since there will be NPOC members in that meeting, there might be issues that we will have to discuss separately and beyond NCSG.

Please make suggestions and/or amendments. This is still a draft. I will then circulate to the membership.

Thanks

KK
