Dear all,

ICANN 59 is fast approaching. A Webinar on the important issues that will
be discussed during the ICANN meeting has been arranged by the
Noncommercial Stakeholder Group. Even if you are not going to attend ICANN,
this webinar can give you an insight as to some of the issues we are
focussing on at ICANN.

Now I shall stop talking in alien and give you some background information,
so please continue to read:

 If you have joined NCUC recently you might be wondering what NCSG is. NCSG
is the overarching stakeholder group for noncommercial users at ICANN. NCUC
(us) is one of the constituencies of NCSG. NCUC's contribution to policy at
ICANN takes place at the NCSG level. This does not mean that we don't do
policy at  NCUC. We can file public comments and NCUC members actively
engage with various policy working groups but NCSG as the stakeholder group
of the noncommercial users is our main venue for policy engagement.

Since ICANN 59 is a policy meeting we decided to do as much as possible at
the stakeholder level.

With that background, I invite you to attend the policy webinar on Monday.
