I'm using mastodon for my dayjob (a lot of the community migrated there)
I think Jose's idea of having or picking a friendly instance and signing up there would be useful for ease of communication.

Mastodon could be an interesting experiment for the group.
But from my experience, I think an instance should be created just for that.
