[NCUC-DISCUSS] Fwd: [ccwg-internet-governance] ICANN58 Block Schedule and High Interest Topic

Hi

Understood. The public IG session is a long time fixture on the meeting program and antedates the CCWIG which demanded to take it over from staff, and this is always additional to the working session. The only change last time was labeling the public session a HIT, which adds no particular value. Or do you mean you object to the public session itself?

Cheers

Bill

We should bear in mind that we have to work on changing ccwg ig charter and make it more relevant. A HIT is only a one time session (which with a lot of good work of volunteers turned out to be great last meeting) and does not build up the ccwg ig. So I'm going to object and will inform ncsg about our future actions. I prefer to have a constructive working session. I see if I get support on that and revert to NCSG.
