As to timing, I don’t think Doodling 451 members is going to be practical, so we should just pick a time like maybe 5pm CET which is equally annoying to people in Asia and the US West Coast, not sure about down under…

I believe that is incorrect.

NCUC elections are held in accordance with rules contained in the NCUC Bylaws, not those contained in the NCSG Charter. Per the NCUC Bylaws:

Article VI.G. Individual members have 1 vote.
Article V1.C.2. Small organisations have 1 vote
Article Vi.C.3. . Large organisations have 2 votes

So rather than the 4-2-1 voting proportions used for NCSG  elections, NCUC elections are run using a 2-1-1 vote weighing system. In practical terms the NCUC Bylaws give more power to individual members, the NCSG Charter to large organisations.

I do hope the tabulation software will be programmed to accurately reflect the NCUC Bylaws. We have several contested elections with some fine candidates and in fairness to them it would be good to use the vote weighing system contained in our Bylaws and not that of our SG.

The voting period for the NCUC Executive Committee elections, begins tomorrow, 23 November 2015 and ends 06 December 2015 at 23:59 UTC.

Everyone is encouraged to please cast their vote. Ballots would be sent to members email address from tally at icann.org<mailto:tally at icann.org>.

Please note: it is permissible to vote more than once by resubmitting a ballot during the election period; only the last vote submitted ultimately will be counted.
