IPv6*

Dear colleagues,



We hereby invite papers for the forthcoming Nigeria DigitalSENSE Forum
 (NDSF) series on “Internet Governance for Development (IG4D)” and “Nigeria
IPv6 Roundtable” respectively, slated to hold *Thursday, June 5 and Friday
June 6, 2014 at the Welcome Centre Hotels, Murtala Mohammed International
Airport Road, Lagos, Nigeria*.

This follows successful hosting of the NDS Forum on Internet Governance for
Development (IG4D) and Nigeria IPv6 Roundtable; in the past five and three
years, respectively.

The Nigeria DigitalSENSE Forum on Internet Governance for Development is an
annual event which acts as a rallying point for Nigerian internet
stakeholders in raising and addressing salient issues concerning the ICT
sector. It also aims at encouraging positive usage of the Internet among
the youths, women and students in Nigeria.

This year’s theme for Day 1 is *‘Internet Governance, eBiz & Open Access in
Nigeria’ on Thursday, June 5, 2014. *

While Day 2 is the *Nigeria IPV6 Roundtable *with the theme* ‘IPv6 &
Broadband Penetration’* stimulates public discourse and create awareness on
the technological cum business benefits of this rapid advancing technology
on IP addresses and domain name industry, encourage integration of IPv6
into all aspects of networking and telecommunication infrastructure in the
country, and commemorate the World IPV6 Day on *Friday, June 6, 2014,* as
well as offering first-class platform for networking.

Discourse will be centered but not limited on these subthemes:

v  How the dual themes affect the Nigerian state?

v  How to take advantage of the open access across all sectors of ICTs?

v  How to encourage positive usage of the Internet for Development?

v  Best ways to optimizing the Internet for Development.

v  State of IPv6 Deployment in Nigeria

v  What are the expectations of stakeholders on adoption?

v  Boosting IPv6 through Broadband?

v  Operators’ stocktaking on IPv6 in Nigeria?

v  IPv6 in Nigeria by 2015: Areas of concentration

v  What should be Government Role in deployment and adoption?

v  Socio-Economic indexes of IG4D and IPv6 in Nigeria.

v  Translating Reduction in Right of Way to boost Internet access.

v  Effect of IPv6 Deployment in Nigeria and the subregion.
