Norbert et al,
"Is NPOC an organization sheltering for-profits?"
No, NPOC houses NFPs. However it is welcoming to Multi-sectorial
communities like the Global Knowledge Partnership Foundation for instance
where the three sectors (civil society, public and private) cohabit for
social inclusion and not for profit objectives. NCSG membership criteria
apply to all NPOC prospective members, so we could not welcome CCAOI
without blessing from the NCSG-EC. Welcoming CCAOI is one issue, assessing
the need for the new proposed constituency is another.
I think CCAOI should be welcomed by ICANN as a member "somewhere" but that
is not what they are asking for.
