[ntfy-gnso-iocrc-dt] REMINDER: Meeting Invitation/GAC/GNSO issues related to International Olympic Committee (IOC) & Red Cross (RC) names discussion group

The group was chartered to also discuss second level protections for the
IOC and RC; it's not entirely clear that with the Board rejection of the
GNSO motion for *additional* protections the group still shouldn't be
discussing second level protections not premised on such additional
protections. In other words, it has not been disbanded by the GNSO
Council or its charter amended.
I will try to get on the call since no one else seems to be able to,
and will stay on as long as I can. I'd be surprised if the Chair doesn't
raise the Board resolution or the recent GNSO motion that we proposed
(and succeeded in getting through) - he has already forwarded them to
the Drafting Team mailing list. I will ask the question if he does not.
Cheers
Mary

Yes, I agree that this group must be disbanded. It has become a
runaway train and the board has already rejected its recommendations.
Do we need to propose a motion in the GNSO to end the group?
Thanks,
Robin

representing NCSG in this group but I am equally baffled as to why this
group continues to meet and discuss things that will end up becoming
policy. I think this needs to be challenged somehow!
