Hi,

I would say go for it if you are interested and can afford the time - at least 20+ hours per week (when not at face to face meetings or retreats - then it is 40+)  to do it correctly.

The only minus, other than the time, is that you would have to drop out of NCSG activities if selected for the Board, for the time you were on the Board.  but if you can bring some of the things you believe in to the Board, that would be a plus.

Of course what matters more than the support of NCUC/NCSG, is the support of your local ALSes, Afralo and the ALAC/BCEC/RALOs - since it is the At-large Board seat that is being spoken of.
