Apologies for continuing a discussion of only partial relevance to
this constituency, but some may find of interest the letter CDT wrote
concerning the problems with a "kids" domain like .kids.us. The
letter is available at:

CDT had previously raised concerns about the US Congress mandating a
.kids gTLD, a proposal that was made last year but has since been
dropped in favor of a .us based approach. (And we believe the
.kids.us approach, while still problematic, is much better than a
US-mandated gTLD!) See:

Regards,

Alan
