Dear Manon,
thank you for the input.
From all this I understand that there is several sub name spaces using our
international IP networks shared infrastructure:
IANA
- the Internet by the ICANN (com, net, org, biz, info ... arpa)
- the ccTLD system still in donation mood IRT the ICANN (cc)
- Govnet by the USG (mil, gov, edu)
Independents
- New.net
- Real Names
- AOL
Open Roots
- ORSC, Pacific, Boroon, Cinics, Alternic, OpenNic...
Private SubNets
- extranets
I just wander why one makes so much noise about New.net ... may be because
the only one having sponsored the ICANN?
