[ncdnhc-discuss] Tragedies in the US and ICANN return travels

I am still in Montevideo (as my return ticket is good only tomorrow) after the ICANN meeting,
which was over day before yesterday.

Yesterday, after lunch together, I said good-bye to three colleagues from Asia here, going to
the airport to fly out via the US - and when I came back to the hotel I saw on TV what
terrible actions had happened.

As flights to and from the US are suspened, some departures from here were also canceled, and
people came back to town.

Apart from this criminal tragedy and its results, a first concern is also for friends. I
understand that colleagues returning from the ICANN meeting in Uruguay may have been
affected.

I have the following note from AIZU Izumi:

"I did arrive JFK this morning from Buenos Aires 15 min before
the tragedic crash happened. Struggled to find a taxi, hotel,
but finally got a rent-a-car and now in my friend's house
in New Jersey.. We are scheduled to stay in a hotel in Manhattan
but no way to get in as you can imagine.

I saw the World Trade Center from the airplane clean and white
in the morning sun, then after getting in the taxi and saw
half black with smoke, then the news from the radio said
it just collapsed, couldn't believe, but horrible. TV is showing
all the incredible pictures.
