Barbara:

I don't remember that anyone in this list has thanked to all contributors for
the remote participation I organized for NCDNHC meetings in Stockholm,
Melbourne and Montevideo, including the searching for sponsors and help form
the Hosts Committees?
I remember my self giving thanks publicly to all who made possible this
in Melbourne, Stockholm and Montevideo (Thanks to
the Local Host Committee: Raul Echeberria, Ida Holz, Roque Gagliano and
others)...I remember myself giving thanks to
Hassan Rizvi for donate the audio equipment for Stockholm meeting, and so far
the only person that in Stockholm made
a contribution to the NCDNHC membership fees. Or in Melbourne to Tim
Yrastorza for providing audio and projecto equipment
also for contribute with remote participation...well, the list is really
really long, all posted in NCDNHC website.
I myself payed my own airticket to attend Stockholm meeting...and Raquel
Isaula for SDNP/Honduras contributed with my
staying in an hotel, without this, it wouldn't be possible to provide remote
participation in Stockholm. SDNP/Panama and SDNP/New York also contributed
with equipment, myself I used own equipment for do remote participation.

And remote participation activity was done in benefit of the NCDNHC.

At least it would be more appropiate that this constituency begins to give
thanks to the people and organizations that have directly benefited the
activities of the NCDNHC
if the issue is acknowledge efforts from people and organizations that has
made significant contribution to ensure wider
participation of members of the constituency in meetings, call it travel
grants (as Salzburg Seminar, Markle and Ford Foundation), call it remote
participation by videoconference, call it monetary contrbutions (as the one
made by ACM some months ago for
cover 1999 NCDNHC debts to DNSO), and many other ways of contribution that
people has made for the NCDNHC.

Best Regards
Vany
