Milton,

(in reference to your note on the .org posting of the BC):

while at it, would you and other attendants at the dot-org meeting in
Washington, DC, US of A, tell us what happened there? People outside the
US tend to suspicaciously think of cliques and even get in touch with
conspiracy theories, what have you, when the meeting is as loudly
announced as you did and then goes unreported for a long period of time. I
pesonally have gotten some (scant) information from a couple of attendants
but I believe the constituency deserves/expects more from you.

Does the AdCom intend to promote further elaboration of positions on .org
in the constituency before Montevideo and other deadlines? Clearly a lot
was left pending a few months ago, leaving a wide space open for other
people and organizations to act with a legitimate claim that not enough
was being done (beyond the server troubles).

Is the fact that you are not reporting on the DC meeting evidence that you
have despaired of the NCDNHC, maybe because of frivolous motions which do
not reflect what is expected of true academics (they do not come from an
academic; outside the constituency we *are* expected to provide a mixture
of points of view, one of whose characteristics may be the seriousness,
intellectual rigour and forward outlook of good academia)?

Let us start this debate again in earnest before travel toward Montevideo
begins interfering.

Yours,

Alejandro Pisanty
