Turns out there was an easy way around that: now it works.
Feel free to try it with the remaining plugin that hasn't
been updated yet (twitter feed widget): log in, click "Updates",
select the plugin, click "Update Plugins".

You can also update the themes similarly, but that's probably
not a good idea (as it warns, all customizations would be lost,
and there's no security reason to update them).
