Actually you can't presently update it from the web GUI at all.
It requires FTP upload, which is not quite trivial to do safely.

The only way that works now is the Manual update as described in
http://codex.wordpress.org/Updating_WordPress

I'll try to set up an easier way, either install ftp server to
allow the GUI method or perhaps using SVN instead.

Note though that now minor and security updates are managed
automatically, so this is no longer particularly urgent.
