Hi

Thanks Dina for referencing the Diversity comment.

Indeed it is a v. important comment for NCUC

Rafik was a rapporteur of this group and it had many NCUC members

The discussion had a pivotal point on the aspect of skills.

How does one define skills as an aspect of diversity?

Does this mean different education, professional background or expertise or
a mix of all that?

Another point where the discussion was heated was assessment of diversity
and independence. Is it possible for that to exist? If so, in what form.

I'd like to thank all who participated and hope to chime in on the doc soon.

Dear all,

we had a bit of a setback with me being sick, but let's see if we can
get back on track.

By now you have looked through the public comment(s) of your choice.

I have looked through the open comments (opportunities to comment on
some ICANN related document) and I think the easiest for all backgrounds
to start with and an important one to address is Enhancing
Accountability - Recommendations for Diversity.

Closing date for the comment is January 5th.

So, next:

- Read Section III: Relevant Resources:
https://www.icann.org/public-comments/accountability-diversity-2017-10-26-en
Make notes for yourself.

- Read the existing comment proposal by Farell Folly and comments within
the document, this is a good way to see Public Comment being worked on.
It is ok to add your suggestions as well.

Next week we shall start writing. Feel free to propose another Open
Comment as well. o/

Solidarity,

thomas
